As the weather gets colder (and certainly wetter!) We are reminded that the festive season is just around the corner. At Players Lounge we are gearing up for our busiest but also the most wonderful time of the year and we are eager to share some advice and grooming insights.
Secure your December booking
The festive season often means gatherings and parties. Your hair should be no exception to the festive spirit. We urge our clients to remember that this is our busiest time of the year. To ensure you’re looking your sharpest for the Christmas festivities, we recommend booking your appointments well in advance.
Styling your hair in the colder and wet seasons
The colder months bring their own set of challenges for haircare and styling. The dampness and chill
Moisturise: Just as your skin needs extra hydration, so does your hair. Opt for nourishing shampoos and conditioners to combat the dryness.
Shorter Styes: Consider going for a shorter haircut. It’s not only on trend but also more manageable during wet conditions.
Use the right products: A good pomade or a matt paste can help keep your hair in place, especially on those windy days. For those with longer hair, a curl cream or miracle milk can help combat frizz.
Dry Completely: Before stepping out, ensure your hair is completely dry. Wet hair can become frizzy and unmanageable when exposed to the cold air.
Exfoliate your skin: Cold weather can make your skin appear dull and sluggish. Regular exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells, promoting skin renewal and giving you a fresher, brighter complexion. It also aids in better absorption of moisturisers, ensuring your skin remains hydrated.
Stay Hydrated: While it’s essential to moisturise your skin from the outside, don’t forget to hydrate from within. Drink plenty of water to keep your skin looking its best.
November is not just a bridge between autumn and winter; it’s a reminder to prepare, reflect, and celebrate. At Players Lounge we are here to ensure that amid the festivities, your hair remains a highlight. We appreciate your understanding and continued support and look forward to seeing you soon.
